Valuations of jewelry (appraisals) are necessary for a number of reasons including obtaining insurance, estate planning, estate taxes following a death, equitable distribution for divorce, collateral for a loan, charitable donations, and liquidation. Values will vary depending on the purpose and function for a particular situation. i.e. Values for insurance are very different than liquidation.
We have expertise in many periods and types of fine jewelry including antique, vintage, estate and modern jewelry. Fifteen years experience buying and selling jewelry have given me a special expertise with identification and valuation of antique jewelry.
The jewelry can be made of platinum and/or gold and may contains stones such as diamonds, colored stones or pearls.
